Hand-Beaded Leather Dog Collars

Each collar in this collection is hand-beaded by Barb Mohr in our Gold Canyon, Arizona workshop. We loom every bead pattern individually using size-15 Miyuki seed beads — among the smallest available — which lets us put real detail into every design. The beaded strip is then sealed between two layers of Hermann Oak leather, the same premium U.S.-tanned leather used by working saddle makers. A recessed stitch groove tucks the topstitching below the surface so it can’t be worn through, and a hand-stamped border detail along the leather adds a finishing touch you’ll feel under your fingers.

Every collar is custom-sized to your dog. We taper the billet ends so a smaller, cleaner buckle sits neatly at the front, and we hand-rub each edge for a finished feel that machine production can’t match. We’ve been making collars this way for over 30 years — the same construction shows up in our matching belts and guitar straps if you want a coordinated set.
